18-19 February 2016, CONFERENCE: "ART AND THE MANIFESTATION OF SOCIAL CHANGE – the artist’s role as a knowledge producer and the art institution as host of cross-disciplinary enquiries."
The conference is developed by curator Lisa Rosendahl as a commission by Kalmar konstmuseum and the project Moving Mass. Location: Kalmar läns museum and Pukeberg. In August 2016 a second part of the conference is arranged in collaboration with the project RESIDENCE IN NATURE.

Massa i rörelse/
Moving mass, collaborative project 2014-2016. Exhibition Kalmar Konstmuseum 5/12 - 28/02 2016, The Glass Factory August 2016.
Moving Mass is the working title of a collaborative project initiated by Ingela Johansson together with Åsa Jungnelius,Johanna Gustavsson Fürst, Eva Arnqvist, Caroline Mårtensson and Malin Pettersson Öberg in late 2013. The project is taking its point of departure in Glasriket (The Kingdom of Crystal) with its geopolitical and social economic boundary, located and embedded in the South region of Sweden famous for its art and glass industry. With the project we will take interest in the specific interrelation between art and industrial production, design and craftsmanship. Moving Mass asks questions of what it means to be human and deal with the loss of a job: the legacy of a body of work as well as the arriving situation with the crisis of outsourcing and the dependency on industrial tourism. The project is conducted in collaboration with Kalmar Konstmuseum and The Glass Factory.

Group exhibition curated by Andreas Poppelier together with Konstfrämjandet in Värmland. Other participating artists are Niklas Engvall and Sara Forsström.

 

Klubb Konsument, en vandringsutställning om konst, konsumtion och medlemskap, genom Konstfrämjandet under 2014-2015. Medverkande konstnärer: Maria Andersson, Alevtina Kakhidze, Annika Kupiainen, Mattias Åkeson, Kristina Matousch, Andreas Gedin, Caroline Mårtensson och Johan Tirén.

Havängsvandring
"Landskap under särskilda omständigheter. En arkeologisk konstvandring runt Haväng. Vad händer när hav möter land, och när konst möter vetenskap?
Årets HAVÄNGSVANDRING ledsagas av marinarkeolog BJÖRN NILSSON och konstnär CAROLINE MÅRTENSSON som utifrån helt olika perspektiv har studerat området kring Ravlunda, Haväng och Verkeån. Men hur olika tänker konstnären och forskaren egentligen? Är det rent av så att de ibland vill säga samma sak, men uttrycker det på olika sätt?
Vandringen är ett försök att sammanföra två projekt. Det ena om Ravlunda skjutfält som en plats för undersökningar ur ett konstnärligt perspektiv, det andra om tiotusenåriga arkeologiska lämningar som ligger på havets botten utanför Verkeåns mynning".

About my practice

My work is based on the encounter between humans and nature,
a practice which I carry out through in-depth, often interdisciplinary research, resulting in visualized interrogations about this relationship.
The aim is to enable more complex conditions for understanding, making available, and inviting for discussions about, the subjects being examined. I´m using art as a tool to communicate environmental political questions.
